Wendy’s Kids’ Meal

Wendy’s appreciates children and families. Every time a Kids’ Meal is purchased, three cents is given to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption to help its work in finding forever families for kids in foster care waiting to be adopted.

Groundbreaking evaluation shows Wendy’s Wonderful Kids works for waiting children.
For too many of the 107,000 children waiting in foster care to
be adopted, the wait ends when they age out of the system
— when they’re left to navigate life and its challenges without
the support of permanent, loving families. Last year, that
was nearly 30,000 children. That’s why we created Wendy’s
Wonderful Kids. Through this program, we award grants
to public and private adoption agencies to hire adoption
professionals who carry out a proactive, child-focused
recruitment model. This model is targeted exclusively on
moving America’s longest-waiting children from foster care
into adoptive families. Currently, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids
recruiters average 13 adoptions each week.
In 2011, a rigorous five-year evaluation by Washington, D.C.-
based Child Trends revealed that our greatest hope had
proven true:
